Leah is one of the most meticulous and diligent members of our team. She knows exactly who she is and what she wants, down to the details of what she wants in a friend. And if you are good at cooking eggs, you might just become her bestie.

1. What is your favorite lunch food?

My all-time favorite is Pork Adobo. But lately, I’m into seafood dishes. For the past months, I’ve been trying to switch away from meat and poultry and trying to live healthier as a pescatarian.

2. What are you most proud of currently?

My work here at Penji. I’ve always been a regular designer in my previous companies until I was given the opportunity to lead here. Penji saw the potential in me and trusted me to lead. I may not be a perfect leader, but I am willing to give my all for this company I am proudest to be with.

3. What game are you most confident that you will win?

I suck at games! But if only I could create a game of my own and compete in it, it would be Speed Talking. Lol

4. What is your irrational pet peeve?

I hate it when people walk slowly in front of me, especially in busy places. It also annoys me when I hear repetitive noises while at work. It distracts me. Urggh! I also hate slow internet, who doesn’t, right?

5. What is the nicest thing a stranger has ever said to you or done for you?

There are some, but I don’t remember anymore.

Since the pandemic and the nature of my work for the past years, it is very rare for me to meet strangers. I am an introvert and I don’t usually go out to make friends. Most people think I’m snobby but when they hear me talk and laugh that’s when their perception of me changes. I usually hear them saying that I am simple, kind, and generous, and not arrogant and boastful at all.

6. If you were given $100 to spend in 10 minutes, what would you spend it on?

Nike Slides! If only I have some already added to cart, I can buy those in 10 minutes. But if there are none, it will take me hours to look for the shoes and slides I like. So if that is the case, I’d order food instead. Lol

7. If you had to eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

#EggForever lol. However it’s cooked –  scrambled, boiled, poached, fried, even when it’s mixed in salads, sandwiches and other dishes. I don’t know why, but whenever we eat out or order food online, I always drool over food with eggs in it.

8. Who is your best friend and what is your favorite trait about them?

I do not have one specific best friend, but I have a small circle of friends that are close to me. I just like it that they listen to my life advice maybe because I am older than them? We have the same interests, and they laugh at my “not-so-funny” jokes. Lol

9. If you had to pick one coworker to work with for the rest of your life, who would it be?

I’d pick Royce. I really love working with him. He always comes up with the best ideas and suggestions. He’s always in his A-game and brings his best foot forward every day. He is a rare find. A precious gem, I can say.

10. What do you look for in a good friend?

I just want someone who is honest with me. Someone who does not easily misjudge other people. There is already a lot of stress in the world, and keeping optimistic people around can make a difference.
